The Magic Flight Launch Box is the ultimate product to use when you need to enjoy your herbs quickly and quietly. Quite simply, the Launch Box is the smallest, fastest, and stealthiest vaporizer available anywhere in the world! This little wooden box really is beautiful, and I’m starting to believe it really is magic too! It’s tiny, about the size of a small box of wooden matches. Not significantly larger than two AA batteries sitting next to each other.

The left half of the Launch Box is taken up by the chamber used to hold the screen (and your load), while the right half of the box holds the single AA rechargeable battery used to heat the screen. The entire top of the Box is covered with a 1/4″ plastic cover that is attached in one corner, and swivels out of the way to provide complete access to the chamber. The cover is held firmly in place, yet is really easy to slide out of the way.

Magic Flight include two AA NiMH batteries for use with the Box. If you choose to use your own batteries, you’ll have to peel off the outer plastic wrapper before they’ll work with the MFLB.

Filling up the bowl is easy and very secure. You fire up the unit by pushing the AA battery all the way into the Box. You don’t have to press and hold the battery in while using it. I really like the operation the way it is – the battery is held pretty firmly in position. There is a down side to this though; you really must remember to slide the battery out a little when you’re done.

You can travel with the battery completely removed (even if the bowl is full), or you can reverse the battery so it doesn’t work electrically, but is held in place in its spot in the Box. You could also travel with the battery inserted correctly, but not pushed in all the way, but this makes it all too easy to accidentally fire up the unit when it’s in your pocket.

Before inserting the battery all the way, I sucked on the tube, and was astounded to see the air patterns in the bowl. The finely ground load swirled nicely around the bowl. Another big smile.

I take a hit, and everything is fine, sweet taste and way more vapor density than I expected. Nearly as much vapor density as I get with my Volcano Vaporizer. This is really great. Even after more bowlfuls, I still don’t really ever see much vapor in the bowl.

The MFLB holds way more than one hit. I think of it as a three-hitter to twelve-hitter! If I fill the bowl full, I get a dozen good hits, with the last hit or two not being very tasty. The last couple of hits actually seem to have more vapor density than the previous ones, probably due to my current technique which allows the screen to get hotter at the end. Interestingly enough, I don’t get the “roasted popcorn” flavor at the end, just less good flavor and more grunge flavor. I’m a flavor kind of guy, so most of my experimenting was with a partial filling, about a third of the way full. This gives me three or four really good hits before the load appears to be done.

Speaking of which, the Box appears to do a good job of evenly extracting the good stuff. The load turns uniformly brown. If I pack a full load (12 hits worth), the outside does turn brown before the inside, but stirring between hits (either manually with a NON-SHARP tool, or by just inhaling too strongly through the tube, which stirs things up) takes care of keeping the flavor sweet though more than just the first hit.

It looks like a full load is going to be perfect when I want to share with a friend or two.

I far prefer the Launch Box. It has charm. It works better for my needs, whether I’m sharing with a friend or by myself. It’s stealthy. It’s easy to use. The Launch Box is nice to handle (it’s a tiny package), easy to shake/stir, and easy to empty and clean.

The instructions say to only expect a bowlful or so per battery – this is important! I use the temperature of the stream to determine how hard and long to draw, and I don’t miss not being able to see the vapor stream at all. I can tell if a battery is mostly depleted by noting how long it takes before the stream is warm. I use breath modulation to control the vapor density and temperature. Draw slowly as it’s easy to inhale too rapidly and cool off the chamber to below the point you desire.

Size: 4. As you can see, the Magic Flight Launch Box is very much on the small side. As a matter of fact, you could set four of these things on a single dollar bill. Talk about small. Until I unboxed it, I truly had no idea and was actually somewhat surprised about the size. But, it is a good thing. The size of the box makes it that much more versatile in terms of where you can bring and use it, therefore I have given it a 4 out of 5. Until you actually have this thing in your hands, you don’t fully understand how small this thing is, the Magic Flight sure delivers in this aspect.

Portability: 5. In the few days I have had the Launch Box, I have brought it everywhere. The movies, the store, random burn cruises, the damn bathroom, everywhere. You can use it in almost any situation. 5 out of 5 for sure.

Craftsmanship/Warranty: 4. I’m sure nobody likes a piece of junk thrown together, and neither do the folks at Magic Flight. Simply put, this is a very sturdy and reliable vape. It looks simple, yet I couldn’t stop admiring the tiny piece of work. It is very well put together, and with care, it could last you a very long time. Besides it comes with a lifetime warranty, though I don’t even think I will need it, considering how well put together and simple it is. Very well done. 4 out of 5.

Usage: 5. This is where the Launch Box really shines. Whenever you want a quick toke you simply load the trench, slide the lid closed, and insert your battery, wait about 3 seconds and inhale slowly until out of breath. Its that simple. You could do it anywhere, almost anytime, you are simply sliding a battery into position. You might not get huge milky rips but it sure does get you ripped, that’s for sure. I smoke way too much just because this vaporizer is so easy to operate. This might be a negative to some, but definitely not me. Five out of five without a doubt.

Iolite Wispr Review

WISPR Vaporizer Ease of Use

In regards to ease of use, I was able to follow the detailed illustrations to activate the WISPR with no troubles. After the testing process, I believe the WISPR is perfect for adults of all ages and a little easier to operate than its predecessor, the iolite.

First, I filled a minimal amount of Natural Butane Gas (5x refined recommended) into the WISPR gas chamber, located underneath the unit. The fuel gage allowed me to see the exact amount needed when filling the gas to the proper level. One fill of Butane now has an increased charge time of 3 hours.

I simply pressed the power switch (located on the back of the WISPR) half way down with my thumb to activate the fuel release.

Then I pressed the switch all the way down to activate the patented flameless gas catalytic heater and thermostat.

Once the WISPR is operating, the large Orange temperature control light on the port of the unit will stay lit until the optimal Vaporization temperature is reached.

To turn off the WISPR, I simply return the power switch to its original position and the unit will cool down in less than 3minutes. There is an instant cut off of gas, no cycling down required while the unit cools down.

WISPR Vaporizer Heat up Time

The WISPR’s catalytic heating element is built into an isolated chamber, which allows the butane to heat the unit. The upgraded heating method, allowed me to reach the desired heating temperature in only 2 minutes.

WISPR Vaporizer Efficiency / Effectiveness

Each draw from the WISPR’s new flexible mouthpiece produces a rich layer of Vapor, I achieved a visible vapor upon each exhale. The enhanced thermostatically controlled bi-metal regulator maintains a steady temperature of 374 degrees Fahrenheit/ 190 degrees Celsius, allowing me to maintain a constant vapor while in use. When I finished Vaporizing, I took off the filling chamber and inserted the new aromatherapy receptacle, a separate accessory, to fill the room with some lavender oils.

How do I Clean My AtmosRX® Vaporizer?
When using the AtmosRX® vaporizer for an extended period of time, the filter may become clogged and dirty resulting in a difficult draw or a lower amount of vapor being released through the mouthpiece.

To clean the Ceramic Heating Chamber:
1. First disconnect from battery
2. Use the brush tool to gently clean the walls of the Heating Chamber.
3. Do NOT push all the way down and touch the heating element.

To clean the Ceramic Filter:
1. Use a paper clip or a pin and insert it into the holes.
2. Push All the way through to ensure clear airway. Wipe clean with a cloth.

To clean the Rubber Mouthpiece:
1. Use a cotton swab and wipe the inner part of the rubber mouthpiece.
2. Wipe the mouthpiece with a damp paper towel.

How to activate the AtmosRX® Vaporizer?
With your AtmosRX® ready for use, hold the power button down for two seconds to activate the heating element. With the power button still held down, place the rubber mouthpiece in your mouth and inhale lightly. Enjoy your experience! Your AtmosRX® vaporizer will automatically shut off after 9 seconds of continuous pressing down on the power button. Wait 3 seconds before activating again.

How do I charge the AtmosRX® battery?
Initial charge…
We recommend charging your AtmosRX® device for at least 6 hours on the first charge. This will condition the battery for future battery life span.

Charging…
Charge your AtmosRX® vaporizer for approximately 2 hours. The charger LED light will be red while charging and turn green when the battery is full. Remove battery from charger once the battery is full. When the LED light blinks 5 times the device needs to be recharged.

Tips…
For best results do not pack the ceramic heating chamber too tightly with your dried blends. This will ensure easy air flow passage for even heating.
The drier the dried blends, the better the results.
Please remember to hold the power button down for at least two seconds before inhaling to activate the heating element.
Between uses, wait three seconds before reactivating the device.
In the event that vapor is not being released, use the packing tool to gently rotate the dried blends within the chamber.
For best results, break the dried blends up by hand or grind them. Be sure to remove all stems and/or seeds before filling the heating chamber.

Before you buy Plenty Vaporizer you want to make sure, it is the right vaporizer for you so let us jump right in and explore the unit.

The PLENTY Vaporizer marks Storz and Bickel’s entry into the whip vaporizer market. Up until now, the only vaporizer that Storz and Bickel made was the Volcano Vaporizer, which is the mac daddy of vaporizers. The Volcano utilizes a balloon as the delivery method. This is where the PLENTY differs from the Volcano.

Acquiring this vaporizer was no easy task. The PLENTY vaporizer was literally just released a few days ago and is currently only available in Europe (more on that below). We had to have a friend in London order it for us, then ship it to us over night to the USA.

Let’s talk about the guts. The heat exchanger has a double helix, which, results in amazing air heating and vapor quality, while optimizing the heat transfer to the chamber. The chamber is made from multiple layers of threaded screens, which lock via a spin, and can obviously be removed for cleaning when necessary. The orange button on the handle acts as the on/off switch.

These improvements are clearly evident in the quality vapor this unit produces. Nice vapor clouds of goodness. Very impressive quality, though I would expect nothing less from Storz and Bickel. On the box the unit came in, it says “Effect, Purity and Flavor” and I have to admit that they are “right on” on that front. I found the PLENTY vaporizer to be extremely potent. While the experience will surely be different for each person, I ended up using much less herb when I used the plenty vaporizer vs most others. The Volcano holds the record for best efficiency with herb but compared to most of the other units, the Plenty Vaporizer is towards the top. The Purity aspect is very true because the vapor is extremely clean and there is no pollutants involved here.

The PLENTY vaporizer is not portable (it must be plugged in to work) but it is much lighter and easier to move into other rooms compared the heavy volcano.

One of the coolest (no pun intended) revolutionary aspects of the PLENTY vaporizer is the air cooled whip. It is made of stainless steel which really does help and is for a vaporizer nerd like me; I love seeing high quality material like stainless steel. It’s fun to adjust the whip to whatever angle or configuration you want. The mouth tip at the end is very comfortable and makes for easy cleaning. Don’t worry if the first few times the mouth tip tastes a bit like plastic. We noticed this but it went away after the third use. I compare this whip to using a water pipe with ice cubes added. The vapor comes out significantly cooler than other standard whip vaporizers.

Using the Plenty Vaporizer is super easy. As you can see from the picture on the right, the bottom of the whip has a circular two piece holder for the herb. You unscrew the orange part, put in the herb, add the filter, and screw it back together. Attach the whip to the vaporizer, turn it on, wait about 2 minutes and you are ready to go.

One complaint about this unit is the fact that it doesn’t sit up on it’s own. You have to lay it on it’s side. Also, after extended use, the whip does get hot on the outside, enough to the point where you wouldn’t want to push it against someone’s bare skin.

Cannabis sativa is a tall, stout, strong-smelling annual plant of the mulberry family. It is cultivated for its fiber, oil, and stimulant products, including marijuana and hashish. It is native to Central Asia, but grows as a weed throughout the temperate regions of the world. It can grow to heights of 5 meters; however, in Canada the short growing season generally limits the plant to a height of 2 meters. For good growth Cannabis sativa requires rich soils and mild, humid climates. It grows well on the rich farmland areas of Ontario and Quebec, and arable coastal regions of British Columbia. It does not grow well on the Prairies because of low soil moisture.

LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS
The Narcotic Control Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. N-1) states in section 6 that “no person shall cultivate . . . marijuana except under the authority of, and in accordance with, a license issued to the person under the regulations.” “Marijuana” is defined in the Act to mean Cannabis sativa. It is the use of this plant, as a narcotic, that the Act and its Regulations are intended to control. Thus, the Act restricts the cultivation of marijuana to only those circumstances allowed under the Regulations. The Narcotic Control Regulations (C.R.C. 1978), as amended stipulate in section 67 that the Minister of Health and Welfare may issue a license to any person who applies to cultivate marijuana for scientific purposes. Accordingly, the growing of marijuana as an agricultural cash crop is not allowed under the Regulations. Consequently, as confirmed by health and Welfare’s Bureau of Dangerous Drugs, today marijuana is not grown legally anywhere in Canada for purposes other than scientific investigations.

BENEFITS TO AGRICULTURE
It was recently reported that the annual retail value of marijuana grown in the city of Vancouver alone was $750 million(1). According to the B.C. Minister of Agriculture, Ron Charles, profits from marijuana operations are three times greater than from dairy production, B.C.’s most valuable farm industry at $245 million per year(2). It might be possible, through amendments to the current Act and Regulations, and through strict cultivation, distribution and marketing regulations, to redirect illegal marijuana profits to legitimate agricultural operations.

A. Obstacles
In order to redistribute some of the profits of a marijuana industry to the agricultural sector the price of marijuana and hashish would have to be controlled. Unlike the distillation of spirits, the cultivation and curing of marijuana (i.e., legal cultivation, possession, consumption and sale) could potentially stimulate the practice of “home-growing” marijuana. This would lead to low market demand, over-supply and a significant drop in the unit price of marijuana. In addition, it must be realized that while marijuana has a high unit value, the actual volume of product marketed is quite low. Consumption levels of marijuana are measured in grams not kilograms. Accordingly, the potential does not exist for the conversion of vast acres of farmland to a new high-priced cash crop.

B. Solutions
For Canadian agriculture to benefit from marijuana as a legal cash crop, the existing legislation and regulations would have to be amended. Regulations that strictly controlled the cultivation, processing and marketing of marijuana products would have to be in place, while the laws prohibiting possession and consumption would have to be liberalized.

A permit or quota system, similar in concept to the milk quota system now used to control dairy surpluses, would be required. A permit might stipulate such criteria as the number of acres allowed for cultivation, the genetic variety to be grown, security requirements, pesticide limitations, as well as quote the guaranteed government purchase price. Quotas might be purchased by farmers, or awarded on a lottery basis. In this manner a portion of farm income could be freed from the uncertainty of fluctuations in the market prices. Controlled cultivation of marijuana could therefore contribute to both agricultural diversification and more secure farm incomes.

Strict controls on marijuana processing and distribution could extend the economic benefits of legalized marijuana beyond the agricultural sector to the processing, packaging and transportation industries. The sale of marijuana and marijuana products through government-controlled outlets would offer additional employment opportunities. Finally, marijuana, like alcoholic beverages, could be used to generate substantial tax revenues. Such revenues could be specifically directed to the support of agricultural programs.

It’s very important to start with good cannabis genetics. What are good marijuana genetics? You tell us. Do you enjoy that hard hitting, sedative stone, that puts you to sleep? Do you enjoy the soaring euphoric cerebral qualities that will leave you in a hazed fluster? Or perhaps a little of both?

There are three distinguished variations of the medical marijuana plant. These three variations include Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, and Cannabis Ruderalis.

Cannabis Sativa is a hard plant to grow indoors due to high lighting requirements, tall stature, and late flowering traits. Sativas come from equatorial regions, thus the necessity for high amounts of lighting and a warmer tropic-subtropic climate. You can identify a Sativa by its long, slender, finger-like leaves. A Sativa will typically produce a euphoric, energetic, cerebral high. Despite the Sativa’s climatic limitations, they are truly a reward to obtain, grow, and smoke. A pure Sativa will take 2 to 4 months to finish flowering.

Cannabis Indica is a great plant to grow indoors as well as outdoors due to its low lighting requirements and tight internode spacing, also offering resistance to fungus and pests, early maturation tendencies, and dense flower production. Indicas come from colder climates exhibiting the traits described above by acclimating to the environment from whence they came. Their stout stature and extremely wide leaflets make them easy to identify. An Indica generally produces a hard hitting, tiresome, sedative stone, and will take around 45 to 60 days to finish flowering.

Cannabis Ruderalis is not a very good choice for flower production, indoors or out. Despite maintaining a short stature, growing only one to five feet tall, and maturing rather quickly, Ruderalis just doesn’t produce the yield or quality one looks for in their flowers. A slight light cycle reduction can trigger a sprout with as little as 2 to 3 leaf sets to flower. Ruderalis spontaneously initiates flowering a few weeks after sprouting, and will not produce decent flowers unless the photoperiod provides around 18 to 19 hours of light. Even then, the yield and quality are less than desirable, incomparable to that of the Sativa or Indica sub-species.

You didn’t think we’d forget to mention Hybrids, did you? Hybrids can carry the best of both worlds regarding high and growth patterns in their genetic makeup, some will not. A Hybrid has potential to exhibit every good trait one looks for when breeding. A rather common Hybrid is hard hitting, euphoric, energetic, dense, and stout, making that particular hybrid the perfect all around plant for someone looking for that particular high, growing indoors, as well as out. It all comes down to your growing conditions and personal preference.

Attempt to find seeds from local gardeners that have been acclimated to the local climate conditions, and carry the best floral characteristics – potency, aroma, flavor, vigorous growth, early maturation, resistance to fungus and pests. Look for seeds that are dark brown or light grey. Some may have dark lines inset into these colors, like tiger stripes. White, small seeds are immature and should not be planted. All of these factors are considered by the seasoned gardener.

You will benefit enormously by finding a friend to get you started. However, some of us are not fortunate enough to find these “friends” to aid in our seed need, so we go international. Ordering your seeds from an online Seedbank becomes ideal in this scenario. Seedbanks are a great place to search for specific breeds you’ve grown rather fond of, as well.

There are few things in life as good as your own herbs, grown by yourself at home out in the garden and indoors in pots… Oregano, Dill, Basil, Sage and other herbs are all easy to grow. Mint will take over the whole yard if you let it. Fresh mint and cilantro are incredible in salads and oriental dishes. Try giving your plants energy by beaming good thoughts and energy at them every time you visit them. I find this helps me as much as it helps them; my plants seem to respond to it favorably.
Effects of Marijuana on Fetus

Given evidence that THC affects female reproductive function, one might expect it to have a potentially adverse effect on the outcome of pregnancy.

There is a possibility that THC, and possibly other cannabinoids, are teratogens, (i.e. substances that may interfere with the normal development of the fetus in utero).

The animal evidence indicates that in sufficient dosage cannabis can produce resorption, growth retardation, and malformations in mice, rats, rabbits, and hamsters (Bloch, 1983, p406).

Growth resorption and growth retardation have been more consistently reported than birth malformations (Abel, 1985).

There is also evidence that cannabis increases rates of malformations but the doses required to reliably produce malformations have been very high.

Such effects have been observed more often after the administration of crude marijuana extract than pure THC, suggesting that other cannabinoids may be involved in producing any teratogenic effects and not THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.

Some have argued, for example, that the malformations may be a consequence of reduced nutrition caused by the aversive properties of the large doses of cannabis used in these studies.

Hollister (1986) has also discounted the animal research data, arguing that virtually every drug that has ever been studied for dysmorphogenic effects has been found to have them if the doses are high enough, if enough species are tested, or if treatment is prolonged.

Similar views have been expressed by Abel (1985) and by Bloch (1983), who concluded that THC was unlikely to be teratogenic in humans because the few reports of teratogenicity in rodents and rabbits indicate that cannabinoids are, at most, weakly teratogenic in these species.

Chromosomal Abnormalities & Genetic Effects
It has been speculated that teratogenesis could conceivably produce chromosomal abnormalities or genetic change in either parent which could be transmitted to their progeny.

Although possible, there is no animal or human evidence that such events occur. The experimental evidence indicates that in vivo and in vitro exposure to purified cannabinoids or cannabis resin failed to increase the frequency of chromosomal damage or mutagenesis (Bloch, 1983, p412).

Marijuana smoke exposure, by contrast, has been associated with chromosomal aberrations [such as] hypoploidy, mutagenicity.

The latter fact means it is more likely that the person who smokes marijuana is at more of a risk of cancers from exposure to cannabis smoke rather than to the risks of transmissible genetic defects in their offspring.

Hollister concluded that even if a small increase in chromosomal abnormalities is produced by cannabis, the clinical significance is doubtful.

Conclusion, unless you smoke in excess of three grams (6 to 10 joints) of marijuana a day, everyday you are pregnant, it is very unlikely that you will damage your unborn baby.

This is not to say that you should use any drug or medication while pregnant. You will not do any good to your baby if you use marijuana while pregnant.
